This is such a good post, can honestly be said for all art. Art in general fundamentally is a form of communication. That's why I think lot of genAI things that are passed off as art are just useless because you are essentially communicating with nothing.

I completed hollow knight recently and I agree. It does follow dark souls pretty closely, for better and worse. But overall a great game.
