Been at an auction sale all day. West of Westport, Ontario. An old homestead farm on a dead end road. What a fascinating place. Nothing updated since the 40's, including house. You'd want to pack a lunch heading to the barn for chores. Holy!

Having a go with them myself. Started this pair with magic loop but I don't enjoy that and usually use dpn's. I switched to Portuguese style knitting to ease up on the hands with the little circ.. A lot of purling with this pattern. Crow Moon socks by Louise Tilbrook

My 9" circs came in. I bought to try socks on it instead of dpn's. The pattern calls for magic loop and my first go was doing that. I didn't like the laddering I was getting. Switched to the small circ on my 2nd try. Hard on my big hands tho. Them and wrists are feeling it. 🧶

MJ Afterthought heel socks (pattern on Ravelry) complete. 🧶Yarn is Dolce sock wool purchased at Hobbii and needle size was 2.5mm
I have a scarf and a pair of mitts to finish and then I can cast on a new project. Almost caught up - whew😅

Spring is trying to get here. We've had rain and mud, the buds on trees are starting, my spring bulbs are up, hubs put together our new porch swing and I've started the yard work. BRING IT ON. I need to get outside - it's been a long winter.

That looks like an afterthought heel. I'm working on a sock of that design too. Yes, I had to pay attention (no audio book/tv)...makes a very defined heel.

Well, have almost finished the Carmen Balaclava. It's a great and easy pattern except for how she finished the face opening. She uses a foldover hem and it rippled. I took it out and replaced it with applied i-cord. Will try it on before I finish my threads.
