Such a wonderful way to spend October! I am allowing myself one story a day. @shortwavebooks.bsky.social @gemmafiles.bsky.social

You've been kidnapped. Characters from the last TV show you watched are trying to save you. Who's coming to rescue you?

Yeah probably nobody is getting out of this alive but what a way to go

The Ur-example of caretaker horror, perhaps. (The Innocents of course, 1961) And seconding Fréwaka's excellence. I loved it!

Just received the most beautiful books I've ever gotten from @swanriverpress.bsky.social — and everything they print is gorgeous — but the 3-volume Fitz-James O'Brien is in a class by itself

Something beautiful to keep the darkness at bay while a mad orange god king moans and gibbers on his throne

Post a movie from your birth year

Never heard of this one until I went looking — probably with good reason — but look at that star lineup!

New book from @swanriverpress.bsky.social just arrived so I immediately settled down for the first story (as one does!) Seasonally appropriate and utterly chilling. Happy Christmas to all and make sure the cellar door is locked!

Quote with your current read! Here's mine #booksky

Such a dark and unsettling collection of horrors. Obviously, I couldn't be happier!

Reskeet with a favorite book from childhood.

Checked this out from the school library in fifth grade and it gave me nightmares for weeks. I have read horror stories ever since trying to recapture that delicious terror. (Author is Scott Corbett)

World feels overwhelming even with fandom. Here's a picture of Bogart with his nose scrunched up.
