The Black Cat Cafe was a Bohemian Lounge that opened in San Francisco in 1906. After WWII it was declared "OFF LIMITS" to seamen and soldiers on shore leave, because it had a reputation for "lewd behavior". So... guess where the seamen and soldiers hung out on shore leave?
