White water rafter here. The best they could do is rig ropes to one side of the boat then lean hard off the other side. Success would depend on how the cargo was secured. If cargo came loose or was near the centerline it could work. Like you said you gotta try.

This pic of Daisy's first walk in the snow in February is typical. She was indifferent to the snow. Just another nice walk outside as far as she was concerned.

We get a few inches of snow in the Willamette Valley most winters. Just enough to be pretty which is still enough to paralyze many roads. Usually melts in a few days.

The knowledge made me melancholy walking thru the fall color display. Oregon State U is gathering seed from all over the state and is raising a plantation. The plantation will be overrun by the beetles. The professors are hoping to find a resistant strain.

Ash are an important flood plain tree here in western Oregon. They are the first tree to turn in the fall, a nice yellow. We have 2 known emerald ash borer infestations. One is 16 miles away. At typical rates of spread the beetles will be here in a few years. Across the state in ten years.

One Saturday after a Friday night date Dad got me out of bed early to help tear down Grandpa's barn. I was not at my best and my uncles were ribbing me about it. One of them asked "Was it any good?". My Dad eldest of 9 interrupted and said "You idiots. It's all good."

At 16 I was impressed by Ayn Rand's books. My buddy's brother, 10 years older than me, straightened me out.

One of our grocery stores has peanuts and peanut butter grinder. Only ingredient is peanuts. Grind it yourself. Absolutely the best.

The other board members eased the tension and the crank never showed up at another school board meeting.
