Autumn weather is here, and I am all for it. Be content little tea-dudes, you’ll get plenty of soak in the coming weeks.

Just look at how content those two look, gloriously smug and content.

For years I've had an idea for an artzine incubating in my mind, and now that the stars are alligned, that idea is coming to fruition. The Critical Reflection artzine is for those who believe games can be poetry and that they carry meaning.

I just realized Jack Burton is basically a podcaster driving a truck.

There are few feelings as magical as sitting in a shelter on high, watching as the weather picks up.

The song is Birna, by Wardruna.

Carpenter’s Apocalypse trilogy are some amazing films, and The Thing(1982) is one of my all time favorite movies.

Carpenter’s storytelling excellence, aesthetics, humor and sheer coolness shines through even in the darkest moments.

His films with Kurt Russell are all must see.

My quest to rediscover love for films continue, and the soirée showing is The Usual Suspects (1995).

It is such an incredibly good film.

It is always so easy to forget that you’re watching the subjective retelling of past events, much like Varric from Dragon Age 2 (the best Dragon Age game).

I’m rediscovering my love for films again, by dusting off my physical collection.

These are the films I’ve gathered over years and, most importantly, most of them are films that are hard to find or impossible to find on streaming services.

Today’s home office matinee is Critters (1986).

Cookies for the Cookie God, Milk for the Milk God and skulls for Santa, all dressed in Red.

Let the Yule times come.
We’ve decorated the tree with fetishes, talismans and the skull. And the offering of porridge has been placed outside for Santa. The children can sleep safely tonight.

I’m also hoping for a resurgence of smaller, independent outlets. Because the major commercial press entities, same as with the video game industry, have built a unsteady behemoth that’s gonna topple over eventually. Especially through this kind of bullshit.

M*A*S*H 4077 is one of the best TV shows ever made. And its message on the horrors of war is ever relevant.
