Kiddo left today for a few days. Taking the opportunity to spend some time talking to him. While it was awful at the end it was pretty amazing at the start. So I'll focus on that.

They're quite beautiful. Wish we got the Red-shafted ones here a bit more. Ours tend to be yellow under the wings. 😊

Kiddo took this photo on our walk to the tip of Point Pelee. What a whirlwind 6 days! I'm exhausted and so thankful for prednisone. Don't have an exact species total but over 115 including 7 or 8 new life list species. Pretty excellent week away

April isn't quite finished and we've had our best ever April on record with 101 Species County wide. To put things into perspective our previous April high was 87 and our current total for the year is 116.

My Aunt's dog Toby is so sweet. He's such a loving sweet boy. I didn't get a photo but when I took him out this morning he took his toy duck with him.

Not a bad day of birding. Regional species 96 Northern rough winged swallow 97 Brown Creeper and 98 Hermit Thrush. Tried out a new wetland area.

I got a giftcard from my sister for #MEC It took a lot of thought about what I wanted to spend it on. Finally landed on this. It arrived today and I'm so excited to use it on my next bird adventure. Pelee is coming up fast.
