Beautiful view of a twilight launch from my backyard in LA.
The twilight effect is when the observer is in darkness but the rocket plume is high enough it's back in the sun and well lit against the dark sky.
Lower part of plume is red for the same reason the sunset is.

SpaceX rocket launch. Twilight launches create this effect where the observer is in darkness but the plume is in the sunlight. You can see the redness of the sunset in the low end of the trail.
