Sorry for late comment: I almost stopped watching White Lotus S.1 for same reason as you. Hung in there & no spoilers: what you thought about Ep 1 is incorrect & imho it was well worth the watch. Season 2 =best. Season 3 more “meh” but I am def still team Mike W; Nate should’ve followed his lead.

My Greek mom’s lentils: No soaking. Sauté 1-2 onions in OO or neutral oil in a lg pot. Don’t brown, just get soft/translucent. Add one bag brown lentils. Cover w/water; bring to a boil & reduce to simmer: cover; cook approx 1 hour. Stir in 1 can tomato paste. Cook 10 min more; add salt.Voila.

Whom do include as “indigenous?” My guess: not Jews. And never mind the fact that Palestine was not a country; and it was Roman colonizers who deliberately re-wrote the map to ERASE the actual names: Judea and Samaria. But folks like you only care about “indigenous” people who fit your narrative.
