I'd be an optimist anywhere but Earth.
Can't we just go back to when we all agreed everything on the internet was a lie and a scam?
Media Literacy is a huge part of learning about AI. Filters on TikTok, deepfake videos, photos that are automatically altered and stitched together in your phone camera. Our students need to be able to understand how to identify what is real.

We could probably simplify this given recent history and results.

That just-outside-of-Orange-County historically radical leftist bastion really pulling out all the stops.
Ah yes, the Democrats have been capable of committing fraud all along, but we decided to *only* use it for one random House race, while allowing ourselves to lose the Senate, House, and White House. Airtight logic.

It does seem awfully strange to spend months and months talking about how fascism is about to overtake the nation, and then after they lose go "oopsies, guess that's it."
I don't think there's a lot of value in pointing fingers at Democrats for what they did or didn't do in the campaign, but there's a shit ton of value in pointing fingers at Democrats for what they are or aren't doing right now.

"Talked about" is an interesting euphemism for "seen as an act of war and justification for secession and violence."
Had Twitter been owned by a Democrat and done this in the 90 days prior to an election in which the site owner was publicly lobbying for a job in a Democratic administration, you wouldn't just have heard about it on Twitter for months but it would be talked about on the right for three generations.

All we've got to do is ban any operations even remotely related to him in all our states and we'll be sitting pretty.
Inmate No. P01135809 is banned from operating any business in New York for the next three years, but will be running the country for the next four.

You can’t make this shit up.

Sometimes it feels like we could just leave it at "Vance is lying" and go "yeah, that tracks" without further justification.
Vance is lying and he knows it.“Deus vult” has never been a “thing” in American Christianity. And I would know. I grew up in fundamentalist and evangelical churches, read Rush Limbaugh’s books as a kid, wanted to be Jay Sekulow when I grew up. This is extreme even in that context.
Deus vult’ began as a rallying cry for the Crusades. More recently, it’s been adopted by the far right. And we’re not even supposed to wonder/ask why it’s tattooed on the arm of the next defense secretary?

Māori MPs briefly suspended the Aotearoa parliament’s attempts to reinterpret their founding treaty in the most bad ass use of the Haka I’ve ever seen.
