Spoilers: Divertor was very good at his job. These days, though, maybe that dude has too damned many plates spinning and being overworked will always effect job performance.

I'm not sure how long I'm going to have to wait to see the new Superman movie, but I haven't been this excited about a movie in a far longer amount of time. Dodging all the reviews until I get in is going to be challenging.

What actor’s expression in a movie will stay with you for the rest of your life?
The character Kikuchiyo as portrayed by the always amazing Toshirō Mifune in the Seven Samurai. In this image frame he has two villagers just behind to his right (our left) and Isao Kimura as Katsushiro Okamoto to his direct left, all of which have various stunned looks while Kikuchiyo seems to be wearing a bit of a sneer (almost of the "smell the fart" variety) of being rather perturbed. Of the multitude of fantastic and completely memorable expressions Toshirō Mifune would deploy, this one is seared into my memory because it conveys to me that there is something Kikuchiyo knows that no-one else does, possibly being out of his goddamn mind, while simultaneously being uncaring of any potential danger. The villagers seem stunned by whatever is standing within our point-of-view while the stunned look on the face of Katsushiro Okamoto looks to be caused by the actions (and reactions) of Kikuchiyo. I love this entire movie so much and this image is among the best encapsulations of why.

Well, that's unfortunate, but also unsurprising.
A diagram of the proper display orientation of the U.S. flag for arm sleeves. I'm not big on most "patriotic" displays, but violations of the U.S. flag code really annoy me more than it should, even as a veteran. So, that's something to keep in mind for those flag-suit-wearing dipshits.

A gif taken from the series "Red Dwarf" in which the character of Dave Lister (played by Craig Charles) is holding up what is essentially study style flashcards for the automaton character of Kryten (played by Robert Llewellyn). The first of the cards says "SMEG" with the second card reading "HEAD". The phrase "smeghead" is a commonly used insult within the series. The phrase in question was also the inspiration for the 'alternative' band I was in back in the mid-90s to have been named "Putrid Smegma"... we were not very successful, as you can well imagine.

The front cover of Captain Marvel Adventures volume 4 #21 from 1943. The cover depicts the Big Red Cheese (that was a real nickname of the Captain Marvel character due to both the color of his pajama-like outfit & how his adventures were often, well, cheesy) pointing a gadget at Adolf Hitler that the text calls the "Honesty Ray". In case there is someone out there that doesn't already know, this is the Shazam version of Captain Marvel, & for that story there are a few fantastic videos on YouTube to learn more of that convoluted mess... Cronus has invented a very new game that nobody has ever played. He brings us his most favoritest toy in the whole world so that we can, get this, throw it so he can chase it & bat it around for a bit followed by, and here's the neato part, him bringing it back to us to repeat the entire process!
Cronus of the black (a little void kitten of approximately 7 months in age) with the aforementioned most favoritest toy in the whole world, a green plastic spring cat toy, that he will intermittently carry around in his mouth. When not playing his amazing and completely original game he will still often carry it around! Amazing little creative boy just brimming with originality!! This little plastic spring toy has become his Pooky-Bear. That is a goddamn delight to watch.

Every goddamn time I have to see a picture of the complete jackass that is, quite sadly, the President Elect of the U.S. this is what I see. Hearing even slightly ok impressions of his voice anger me viscerally. The next few years are likely going to have me consistently angry by default.
A (tragically) fictionalized rendition former president (and bafflingly soon to be again) Drumpf as a repugnant fat action figure akin to the "Masters of the Universe" on a card next to the back of said card.
