Super cool!
🚀 Introducing

A Motion+ React component for making beautiful number animations. Based on @barvian.me's NumberFlow, this version is built entirely on Motion, so existing users can use it for just +2.5kb.

Ok so never using arrays for the next days (or?), just use a Map/Set/Record. Also don't try to fork the process to attempt a brute force with an array-based algorithm and avoid OOM...

Everything @redblobgames.com posts is worth reading just to see the explanations and examples, regardless of whether or not you'll ever work on writing a game

This one felt easy to design, but hard to understand because the subject omits something... And also : the first day I need to optimize my code 🚅 💨

This year day 6 of #adventofcode gave me so much headaches. After 2 days on it I finally decided to move on, even if I am probably at an inch of the part 2 solution.

Sometimes we should not stay stuck and just skip a day to have more fun the next day.

I just completed "Ceres Search" - Day 4 - Advent of Code 2024 #AdventOfCode adventofcode.com/2024/day/4

Unfortunately I could not find a good use-case for the pipe() op this time. Maybe next time !

Ok, just got the type-checking to work with this "pipe operator" implementation. The trick is to return a "new Pipe" instead of mutating the value in the object until the end().

Was looking for the "pipe" operator somewhere in TS (maybe there was a deno impl ?) and found out this nice article on the subject (check out the references after it for more info on the JS proposal) : dev.to/nexxeln/impl...

javascript tip : use `.map(Number)` instead of `.map(parseInt)` because the signature of `.map(value, index)` clashes with `parseInt(value, base)` and you'll get a lot of `NaN` in the process. Took me a while to figure out 😶‍🌫️ #adventofcode

Sometimes I forget that we used to be able to just put in a game disc and play straight away

✅️ No installs

✅️ No day-one patches

✅️ No forced online connectivity for single-player games

We had it good. 😩

What’s so intoxicating about art is that despite the difficulty of creating it, the juice is worth the squeeze. It’s a struggle to make something from nothing! But the outcome - and even the journey - is worthwhile. It’s worth doing.

We write. We draw. We compose. We’re conjurers of possibility.
