Regarding gifs: If you don't have these systems yet maybe show gifs of the systems that you do have. Think about which features might boost the steam page and then prioritize these so that you can show them off.

I focused on the points I'd change since that is more useful I think. Game looks cool!

Make sure the gifs show the thing you are talking about. "A single rock might roll onto a bomb and set off a chain reaction." but your gif doesn't deliver on that. Or "Climb the mountain as day turns into night." so I expect to see a day night cycle in the gif.

I'd also consider writing at least one "News" post. It makes the page feel more alive. Just be sure to use a good thumbnail so it adds some more diverse visuals. I for example made one to introduce myself. So I now have my face on my steam page. I also linked that to my YouTube channel trailer.

Next I would try to integrate the gifs a little more into the page by using transparency. You could make the gif a bit bigger to include the entire mountain, then make the sky transparent and have the mountain stick into the transparent sky. It sounds silly but it makes your gifs part of the page.

Then I'd remove the "Please excuse the lack of polish." from the capsule. You want as few words in there as needed and each word should carry weight. Chris Zukowski would tell you the same.

Don't put it anywhere on the page. Just remove it.

Hi mikbal! Just like my steam page you are also missing a trailer. I'd try to get a really short one done next. For my own game "Forca Recurva" I am aiming for a 20 second one. I understand that it is hard to do when your game is not finished but I think we should try. You can still make it better.

This was such an amazing day when I hunted down all the achievements. The full playthrough without death did make me a little mad though!

Celeste made me tear up. It’s in my top 3 games. A story about hardship, struggle and overcoming it. But be warned: you will struggle … but you will also overcome. 🍓

“togo” - that’s when you request memory “to go” and take it with you. Home or somewhere. Then you don’t bring it back. It’s a memory leak.

I got this timeout while I was playing my own game before the submission period ended. Turns out the page needs to stay connected for some reason even while a game is being played. People really do hurry to submit in the last 5 minutes even at the end of the extension period. 😆

I am kindof working on something in that direction. It’s a bit different and won’t be for everyone. And it won‘t be out for a while either. What are some of the games you think do this best as of today?
