As #GOP hawks high deductible plans with health savings accounts and #Democrats counter with #ACASubsidies, I just want to point out that neither party's solutions actually address the elephant in the room: healthcare costs. It's ping pong of who pays those high costs, 0% asks why they're so high.

We’ve built two justice systems in the US—one that bends over backward to shield the wealthy and powerful, and another that comes down hard and fast on the poor and marginalized. Trump and Epstein show that it’s easier to squeeze a rich man through the eye of a needle than to see one sent to prison.
The Epstein story gets a something that is tearing at the heart of the electorate: elite impunity. The idea that wealthy and powerful people can do terrible things *at scale* and face no consequences for them. Whatever political party actually stops it could rule the country for a generation.

Phew. This is the best thing I’ve read this week and is absolutely worth your time.
I see so many reactions from Americans justifying what ICE is doing. They don’t seem to care about the *how* of immigration enforcement, the fact #ICE agents lack training or good judgment, or the fact ICE themselves are violating constitutional laws.

The factional grifters will hate this, but the Mamdani-Spanberger-Sherrill axis actually suggests the outlines of a broad, emerging Dem coalition organized around both anti-Trump *and* affordability politics, not a party bitterly divided against itself.
These big wins will embolden Dems to take on Trump's lawbreaking and show there's a price for GOP enabling of him. Folks hate to hear this, but normal patterns are asserting themselves: Liberalism isn't dead, Rs are likely to lose in 2026, and Trump is really unpopular, not a magical exception.
