My main bookcase! 🥰 From top to bottom, the shelves (generally) are historical fiction, contemporary romance + dark romcoms, romantasy, more romantasy / paranormal romance, hockey romance, and YA romantasy/paranormal romance.

Shelf two has contemporary romances (like Ali Hazelwood) and dark romcoms (Brynne Weaver) along with a glass Easter egg that I painted to look more like a dragon egg. Shelf three is romantasies: Crescent City, ACOTAR, Empyrean, Assistant to the Villain, and Myths of Airren. Shelf three also has a tiny Archeron sisters dresser, a stuffed Kingsley frog, some prop daggers, an otter plushie in a safety vest, a bat plushie, and black and blue dragon plushies. Shelf four is more romantasyish books and paranormal(ish) romances, like A Fate Inked In Blood, Quicksilver, Phantasma, and The Entanglement of Rival Wizards. Another dragon egg is on that shelf, along with an iridescent ceramic ghost. The fifth shelf is hockey romances by Emily Rath, Rachel Reid, S. J. Sylvis, Stephanie Archer, Avery Keelan, Elle Kennedy, and Sarina Bowen. I will note that Icebreaker by Hannah Grace is purposefully shelved with the contemporaries even though the hockey shelf has space. The non-book decor here includes a Columbus Blue Jackets library card, a sticker showing the FMCs of the Vancouver Storm series, and a mini bookcase with tiny foam-and-paper books. Also a deflated balloon but that would take some explaining. The final shelf shown here is YA paranormal/fantasy romances like the Crave series, the Twilight series, and Lauren Roberts's Powerless. Another prop dagger rests atop the Crave boxed set.

Officially registered for my second ever 5K. The first one happened when I was 14 and had gym class and dance practice all the time. Currently I am 31 and very unathletic. What could go wrong? 😬
(I can walk a 5K just fine but I'm gonna try to start working my way up to jogging at least part of it.)

Rearranged some bookshelves tonight and apparently hurt a knuckle during the process? My immediate reaction when I noticed the cut was "I better not have gotten any blood on a book" followed by "at least it won't be visible in nail pictures." Ah, priorities. 😆 #booksky

My nails are painted a medium-dark blue with an accent nail on my ring finger that's a darker, more muted blue and also has some nail art that isn't quite discernable with this lighting/angle. The background is blurry but one can see white bookshelves, brown flooring, and a small rug that looks like some ghosts.

One time I got an idea for a "what if the TMNT time traveled into the first book/season of Outlander and then helped the Jacobites" story and giggled to myself while outlining it. Nail art is my main form of creativity and I get weirdly specific with that too sometimes. 😆
My left hand with strange nail art. My thumb is painted silver with an Unown D on it because this is part of an ongoing alphabet series. My other four nails all have a metallic rainbow gradient on them, meant to look like the background of the He-Man "What's Going On?" song meme. On my middle and ring fingers, I painted an Alolan Dugtrio since its hair reminds me of He-Man. The bottom right dude has a Ditto face instead of the normal Diglett face. I miscalculated my placement so the tallest dude's hair goes way further to the right than it's supposed to. There's a watermark along the proximal nail fold of my ring finger with my Instagram username (isolated.color) since that's where I post all my nail art.

Got an email from Hulu asking me to do a survey and figured I might as well put in a good word for #HeatedRivalry 🫡

Nail art is one of my main hobbies so I've done a lot of book art. 😅
My nails with the cover of The Love Hypothesis by Ali Hazelwood. Both are medium blue and have white lab equipment with pink accents. The book also has art of Adam being kissed by Olive. My nails in front of a brick background. They're painted purple with blue art inspired by Brynne Weaver's book Tourist Season. I painted an anchor, a skull with a crack in it, a sailboat, and a shark fin. My nails in front of a beige background, painted to match Caught Up by Navessa Allen. The nails are holographic black with neon coral splatters on the thumb, pointer, and pinky. My middle and ring fingers have a heart and an X on them. My nails in front of Ali Hazelwood's book Deep End, which is laying on a gray carpet. My contemporary romance shelf is accidentally becoming the hockey shelf. 😅 Already had to move one to the paranormal shelf so the hockey could stay together. (Red White & Royal Blue feels paranormal anyway. 🙃) Icebreaker may eventually get reshelved as just contemporary.

Most things can still be done with long nails, you usually just have to adjust the angle or shift which part of your finger you're using! My laptop's keyboard is very flat and that probably also helps. 😆
My July 4th nails for this year. My thumb and middle finger are holographic crimson, my pointer and pinky are sparkly cobalt, and my ring finger is black holo with Green Day's American Idiot art painted on it.

-painted glass Easter eggs to make them look dragony
- made tiny foam books to put in a tiny bookcase
