a big issue i have with ai discourse is all the blame for failures of everything else in society. gpt isn't *making* people self harm, commit crimes, or engage in harassment. systemic exploitation and violence leads them to talk about those things with robots. open ai shouldn't be the world police.

I like the movie Drive and know people who don’t and I can’t explain it other than “hell yeah” and I read the director was trying to explain it to Ryan Gosling and couldn’t until they were in a car and REO Speedwagon came on and he went “THIS MOVIE IS ABOUT A GUY WHO LISTENS TO THE RADIO” hell yeah
I’ve sometimes fallen into the trap of thinking that complementing a creative person for their work is less sophisticated or desired than discussion or debate about it but very often the best thing you can say to them is hell yeah and that doesn’t make you dumb it just makes you nice

Also, as someone who worked on HORSES and has also made porn games + comics: I really don't appreciate when people put down one thing I made to uplift the other! Especially considering no one at Santa Ragione *ever* framed it in these terms when we were discussing the Steam ban
I am a little disappointed when the conversation is focused around "it's art not porn!" because the adult games devs get very little support but have been dealing with this for far longer, and they've been sounding the alarm for that deplatforming coming for other games (such as LGBTQ+ content).
