Also in a world where I can't really go and watch my friend's favorite things anymore, and where shows that I know absolutely nothing about have become ever rarer, it is a nice refresher of how it felt to watch anime a decade ago.

Good reminder though that maybe I don't dislike contemporary anime (at least not the originals), I just dislike the way people talk about them. Can't find anything interesting if I get put off by the mere mention of "aura" and "peak" when that's seemingly all people care about.

Yeah I skimmed through and it seems to just be actual reviews of a bunch of shows that would be better off with "I have nothing to say about them" rather than giving them the same time of day as shows he actually enjoys
