Personally, here in Tucson, we have a public power campaign to win. As someone new to town, getting involved there is my next step.

They knocked doors and talked to people they didn’t know. 3 million doors in a city of 8.7 million. Very glad that Tascha got some love at the beginning last night. She deserves it.

Anyway I don’t live in NYC these days, but I’m proud of the work we all did back then. And I’m eager to see how people all over can build similar campaigns…not just electoral ones either.

Many headlines will say it’s a miraculous one-year campaign. In a narrow way, it is. But it’s more…it’s the building of structures over multiple campaigns that won and lost, learned how to communicate and deliver, and built leadership at all levels.

And he coordinates. Back then, it was coordinating with union printers and freelance designers and volunteer comms workers (we’re not always easy people to deal with)

Every time we talked about campaign merch he had ideas that made other campaigns look like they were drab and boring. He’s always known how to show more than tell.
