Their history is very different to that of Gunn’s interpretation, but there’s still a lot to love. The DnA run is the most beloved, but the Cates run is my favorite.

If you don’t want to bother with 10 seasons of Smallville, then this miniseries (basically just Smallville Lite) is a good substitute. Showcases Krypton, the Daily Planet, and the Clark/Lex dynamic very well.
