They *did* target Jewish writers, though. The Institut für Sexualwissenschaft was targeted out of homophobia, transphobia, and anti-feminism, yes, but also because of antisemitism. Queerphobia and antisemitism intersected in the figure of the queer Jew Magnus Hirschfeld. They cannot be separated.
It is little known, but the first book burnings in Nazi Germany didn’t target Jewish writers. It was the burning of the library of the Institute of Sexual Research, which was a safe home for trans people.
