Scientists with NOAA and NASA have ranked this year’s ozone hole over the Antarctic as the fifth smallest since 1992 — the year that the Montreal Protocol, a landmark international agreement to phase out ozone-depleting chemicals began to take effect.

NOAA signs agreement to ensure reliable water supply for California agriculture.

Agreement supports critical water infrastructure, salmon habitat.

The win-win agreement includes a modernized water diversion that will provide more reliable water to irrigate local farms and effective fish passage around Daguerre Point Dam on the Yuba River, above.
