Are you feeling hopeless in these dark times, and work in music, radio, PR? Here's a simple way to change the world: stream or hype a song by Arturo Suárez Trejo, a musician Trump just sent to rot in Bukele's hellhole prison. This one's a burst of pure joy. Make people listen. Make him human. 1/

More careful work: while Harvard has kept the 2 ultra-Trumpy lawyers originally hired to negotiate, it's added 14 more lawyers from 2 specialty law firms: Ropes & Gray, experts in life sciences & pharma research, and Lehotsky Keller Cohn, experts in federal regulations. Choose your fighter. 3/

As you'd expect, Harvard has also put out a smooth letter explaining their lawsuit. It starts by outlining the 5 attacks Trump has made on Harvard. Then it pivots to defending research. Then offers thoughts on antisemitism - giving Trump an offramp he could take. 2/

Any university that voluntarily shutters a DEI program, office or personnel “Because of Trumps Executive Order” is making a PR decision. Not a legal one.

Trumps EO does not change anti discrimination law. If anything, the EO is unlawful.

Universities should treat it that way.

Elon Musk's mother moved to South Africa in the year Apartheid was created, and she and Elon left the year it ended. The last Apartheid Prime Minister, a man who refused to testify at the Truth and Reconciliation Committee, was a family friend who stayed at their home. This is not a crazy theory.
What’s his beef against USAID in particu….oh. Wow.

I don’t know, I think “Elon Musk & a band of 19 year old interns have taken over the Treasury & May have control SS payments” is pretty straightforwardly alarming whether you know inside DC baseball or not. That’s how it should be explained.
The thing about all the shit they're doing is it's all very technical DC insider stuff that most people have no idea about but if you're really at any level familiar with DC bureaucracy you know it's really fucking bad

gather round kids and I’ll tell you of a bygone era when congress jealously guarded its power
We all like to yell at the Democrats, but it’s really Speaker Mike Johnson and Senate Majority Leader John Thune who are letting Elon Musk and his faceless goon squad make a mockery of their power as leaders of a coequal branch without uttering a peep or lifting a finger.

An Elon Musk staffer misused the U.S. Marshals Service by falsely invoking their authority to intimidate. USAID security personnel were threatened with action by the federal Marshals Service.
