Per Pete Thamel, Denver is joining the West Coast Conference as of next year. Denver (never made ncaa tournament) has played in the summit league (aka the arch rival of @nmtchoops.bsky.social.)

Reports are that with tourney expansion comes a new opening round - revamping the first four to be 12 AQs and the final 12 at large teams.
Moving all these AQs to the opener ain’t it and is a key reason why tourney expansion harms the smaller schools.
