My friend was travelling in from Bromley, where there was a flag waving maniac stood outside the station with a BB gun and accosting every black and brown person who passed him. She reported to BTP and they said they’d had hundreds of reports like hers.

I guess in the context of the graffiti (a radical act of defiance/subversion done in isolation) there is no opportunity for dialogue about what might be wrong with its messaging (before that act has taken place). In the case of a cultural institution, there is, and ethics of care and community…
