Religion and politics have always been closely connected. Somehow the Jewish population was adapting better to the invading Islamic rulers. Which sometimes backfired, like in the Granada massacre. Also the intermediary role of Jewish slave traders was maybe convenient for both Christians and Muslims

Same for the golden Islamic age in Spain 722-1492… city states constantly fighting each other and Christian cities for power. And don’t forget the incoming fundamentalists banning spawning culture because it deviated from the true faith…

Asking the question is like giving the answer… But maybe there is some sunshine on the horizon… automation COULD improve efficiency by 100x while maintaining jobs… I’ve seen it happen. Production possibilities explode… But still… at some point… will we enjoy or disappear?
