A lover of cats, books, pickleball, camping, wine and tea.
I loved the Hunger Games series so I eagerly anticipated Sunrise on the Reaping. I didn't love the audiobook narrator, but I did enjoy the book. Went back to listen to the Snow origin book because I thought I hadn't read it. Goodreads told me otherwise. I gave it 2 stars in 2020. #booksky #bookclubs

I'm not usually big on nonfiction, but The Art Thief by Michael Finkel grabbed me immediately. #booksky #bookclubs

I love historical fiction, but I wasn't sure a story about a Duke and the unfortunate girl who is forced to marry him would hold my interest. The duchess Lucrezia ended up being one of my favorite characters ever in a book. I just wanted to hug her and punch most of the men. #bookclubs #booksky

I finally succumbed to the hype and my many friends who recommended it, and wow, this didn't disappoint. The best thing about being late for the party is I don't have to wait for books 2 and 3. #bookclubs #booksky #fourthwing

A story of war, hope, loss and love. And a fig tree who is there to witness it all. Historical fiction at its best. I loved this beautiful story, and even though it’s only February, I know it will be one of the best books I read this year. #bookclubs #booksky #historicalfiction

I was skeptical when one of my book clubs picked this memoir. I found it surprisingly not bad. I am not a memoir fan, so from me, that's high praise. I especially enjoyed the illustrations of edible plants and their uses at the beginning of each chapter. #bookclubs #booksky

Here's what I read while it was freezing cold outside. "The Thirteenth Tale" — a Gothic tale with suspense and some weirdness. "Witchcraft for Wayward Girls" — Teen pregnancy before Roe with a dash of weirdness. Both were a bit disturbing — in a good way. #bookclubs #booksky

I was looking for a feel-good book. So far, so good. Any other recommendations? #booksky #bookclubs

A tale of two books: Depressing and delightful. Just finished "A Little Life." It was good but depressing. I had to take a mental health break while reading it, so I listened to "Dachshund Through the Snow." I am not a Christmas book/Hallmark kind of girl, but it was delightful. #booksky #bookclubs
