Even the "liberal firebrands" like AOC and Sanders and Mamdani... they largely talk about economic issues. "You should be able afford a place to live," "you should be able to buy food," "you should be able to afford the doctor" and so on

Yeah even if it's just a "everyone has the option to buy into Medicaid at actual cost" it would be excellent. Government's inefficient? Okay! Private plans should, then, be cheaper and better.
