New portfolio piece - a poster for one of my favorite documentaries, THE ATOMIC CAFE (1982). That's the soundtrack in the background. #art #film

Gill and Beck don't reach the bottom of the staircase, says the text in the frame - it reaches them. Yeah, something is capital W Wrong down here. Stacks of crates fan out with no sense of perspective. A figure in the distance is hanging by tubes from above, from something that was a normal tank once. A section title, illustrated around a monoplane storming through some kind of aerial chaos in black and red. The section is Side B, featuring the story of a character whose name is graphically bleeped out. Below this title image is a line of dialogue from the character referred to only as the Surveyor: "I tried knocking, several times, didn't hear anything. Got worried." An illustrated script page where the following is occurring: "Relax, Luz," says Beck. Luz's tension breaks - and her head falls backward, limp. Beck again: "I see you watching, Red." Beck moves to the middle chair. "Looking out of turn?" she says. The crystal descends. There is an illustrated hand holding a pendulum that emanates an energy illustrated in red and black wavy lines. Around it, the words "DON'T HURT YOUR EYES". Back to the scene: Red's eyelids vibrate. Beck closes them with two gentle fingertips. A simple graphic page with some bits of a script pasted onto it. The scene goes: Sunrise. Chirping birds. A nice clear sky! Nonetheless: BZZP. A bolt of veer-colored lightning strikes the water of Spit Canal. The size of the bolt makes unclear whether it was called down from the sky or surged up from directly below. The bolt is pictured, a minimalist zigzag design. It appears to have gotten one of the aforementioned birds.

Pretender Photon is my old prose story that I adapted into a feature-length script as an exercise when learning to write scripts. It involves 3 undead queer moms locked in IMMORTAL KOMBAT and the whole cast having a crush on one guy.

I made it a graphic title just for the fun of drawing text. #art
Inked in digital black and white, the title "PRETENDER PHOTON" is drawn in chaotic, jagged letters dotted with asymmetrical black starbursts. In the middle of the title is a life (death?) support tank of some kind with a brain floating in it. The brain is run through with a broadsword. One of the moms totally did this. On the tank, small, is the surname "Luna". The title from the other image, but this version doesn't have the brain-sword-tank.

A screenshot of a script. In this snippet of a scene: Six eyes flicker open - to gasps. Beck herself nearly falls over her own high heels when she sees them. Red stands up, blinking, stretching - along with two more of him in the places of Elly and Leo. Beck has seconds to collect herself. The hum of impending panic is pulling in more onlookers from across the deck. Even the Greeter is peering back outside. Beck stammers, "I..." And then it comes to her. "...told you he was a special guest." She winks at the gathering crowd. Three silhouettes of the same little dude are pointing at each other with confused speech bubbles over their heads. Except or the middle one, who has eerie red eyes instead - WTF is his deal?

If you have been going through all these images, here is the aforementioned SIDE B. Inked in black, white and red, the title page of the flip side of a story in the form of an illustrated script named Red Says No (a fiasco by me, Ness B) depicts a monoplane beaming headlights through a fog of red pointies, some sort of spooky energy. Chaotic text below the plane suggests that the B stands for BLEEP, the noise that unfailingly sounds in the script instead of a certain character’s name. Their story, supposedly, follows this mid-show title page. If you followed this description, you deserve a medal. A poster for the 1922 F.W. Murnau film NOSFERATU, done in black ink, depicting a gaping Venus flytrap with a pair of close, sharp fangs. The art and text is jagged and loud, reflecting the expressionistic style the film is remembered for.
