if Amazon really wanted to innovate they'd go tom clancy with James Bond and tell a story from a position of bond promoted to M, and then eventually two movies into the subseries, somehow winning the prime minister seat

'why do you think we kept letting you cavort with all those women, 007? We built up enough genetic material over the years to have a clone in reserve, and, well, there's no good way to put this: your head was still intact.'
James Bond’s death in No Time to Die is causing a nightmare for the next film. Writers are stuck because Bond “was blown to pieces.”

Anthony Horowitz, author of three 007 novels, says:

“You can't have him wake up in shower and saying it was all a dream."

can't help but think when twitter, way before Elon, decided not to use the effective tools it had developed to ban ISIS from the website on Nazis because it would ban Republican politicians as well, it was a watershed moment in the advancement of global fascism

Disgusting. You engaged in political gamesmanship using them as pawns knowing they would get harmed and now you question *their* patriotism because some of them aren't wealthy like you and didn't want to work a high stress job for no pay?

This is what I try to always tell people: food banks can do way more with your money than you can, due to bulk buying deals. And they can do way, way more with your money than with the canned goods you didn’t want to eat
spoke with the executive director of my local food bank today and got this really incredible line: "if you donate 1 can of green beans, we can give away 1 can of green beans. but if you donate a dollar, we can give away 6 cans of green beans"

Some of them are. Some were "special government employees" who hit their time limit, some resigned after their group chats got leaked, and some were Musk sycophants who left after Musk. But a bunch were permanently folded into the US Digital Service, which was hollowed out to make room for them.
