And the attorney general couldn't override that decision?

I don't think you are.

The important thing is that this is not about Kevin, and he shouldn't catch strays for Nintendo's poor decisions.

Of course, and thank you for the kind words! In retrospect, I think it's fair to think of the Switch 2 as analogous to the Game Boy Color. Definitely a new gen, but there's huge incentive to keep the existing player base engaged. Metroid Prime 4 is a great example, similar to Link's Awakening DX.

I think it lands somewhere between 'new 3DS' and 'Wii U'. The Switch has a huge player base. I expect Nintendo to try to keep the Switch 2 gen going as long as the Switch has been alive, and we'll see Switch 2 exclusive releases more and more until the OG is sunset (probably no sooner than 2027).

If money is a concern, I'd recommend waiting until supply is more stable and there are 1 or 2 exclusive titles you really want to play. The Switch is still great and will be supported for many years. In addition, the Switch 2 is an improvement in almost every conceivable way.

Honestly, first time I've gotten this question directly! It's a tough one. I'd say if the library didn't expand past launch titles, no. It definitely feels like an iterative improvement rather than a major departure. However, if I were to buy a new console in 2025, it'd be my first pick.

And to be abundantly clear, this is not about the voice. Yes, the voices are different, but it's not the end of the world. The character models are different, too. The game is fun.

This is about Charles getting shafted by Nintendo and being barred from talking about it. Just doesn't sit right.

I realize this is probably a bizarre reaction and indicative of being chronically online. But in many ways, Martinet has been the heart of Mario to me since I've been able to form memories. I played Mario Teaches Typing growing up. His delivery is inextricably tied with the character in my mind.
