So american's have been taught to read as though they have undiagnosed dyslexia for decades.

And then it gets even wilder when you realise that the author in question is probably dyslexic but also doesn't believe in dyslexia. And the way they say everyone should learn to read is actually just a series of Dyslexia coping mechanisms.

Vibes based literacy is a plague and once you rsee it you can't unsee. It mostly stems from some book in the 90's where an author just made a bunch of wild assertions about how people learn to read without actually doing any research and for some reason everyone just kind of decided they were right
