I want to describe the 1952 Hershey-Chase experiment in such a way that it's accessible to anyone. Why?

1. It's an easy experiment to grasp, but elegant in design.
2. It confirmed the role of DNA as the genetic material of life in a definitive way.

Yup. Seeing this first hand
I don't think academic institutions are prepared for the wave of retirements that is coming. The relief felt by admin/leadership from reduced top-end salary burdens will be quickly replaced by panic at the a massive gap in the number of individuals trained to carry out core functions.
