A few weeks ago Julia Klöckner, high up in the CDU and a disastrous Education Secretary a few years back, posted this on her Insta:

They are testing the waters. As yet, the water is too hot. But watch them.

No, it isn't. If only. Support for the AfD in many West German constituencies is also anywhere between 8 and 23%. It's just that in West Germany, that's not enough to get your man or woman into parliament.
