yeah I feel a very high sense of alarm about what the "incapable of loving our country" goalposts are going to include

quite certainly they're going to try very hard to use it on elected Democrats which is at least one reason I feel like we need to be TALKING ABOUT IMPEACHMENT WAY MORE THAN WE ARE
In case you thought you were safe bc you aren't one of his currently identified enemies to kidnap and deport, take a look at this line:

"and remove anyone who is not a net asset to the United States, or is incapable of loving our Country..."

No one is safe when a bully is in charge.

Terrific 🧵

(I mean, also dystopian, but everything is these days and knowledge > ignorance)
I had an interesting set of interactions w AI-generated content that I think is instructive. A very bright student made a claim in an essay that struck me as outlandish, so I searched the question on Google which turned up that phrasing the search a certain way makes the AI summary agree w the claim

Moral rot in elite journalism is killing the whole field
The Nuzzi/RFK Jr. mess and the revelation of Epstein’s journo pals lay bare a profound moral absence at the heart of our free press.

But also maybe they should ruin his life?

A guy asking Epstein for advice on how to sexually harass a junior colleague knows exactly what Epstein was and was clearly OK with it. I am frankly OK with someone ruining his life.

Evidently it ought to have happened decades ago.
Larry Summers is 70. Firing him is not ruining his life.

Beginning Monday, a Frozen Peppermint Hot Chocolate drink will be available exclusively at Starbucks cafés inside Target stores.

The chains are hoping the drink can drum up excitement from customers this holiday season.

This is a phenomenon that has long fascinated me. For a significant portion of the American population, BEING racist is a much more acceptable position than being CALLED racist.
It’s funny that even now, with everything we know, there’s still a retreat towards treating racism as somehow uniquely unbelievable.

Kevin Hassett: "I think there could be a little bit of an almost quiet time in the labor market, because firms are finding that AI is making their workers so productive that they don't necessarily have to hire the new kids out of college and so on."
