Favorites is always difficult, because they always change.
A story that's stuck with me for a long time and that I have fond memories of is Falling Through Stars, by Staci Olsen.

I make it no secret I'm a huge fan of The Wandering Inn, but to change things up a little, I will instead pick The Blood Scouts, by Phil Williams.
It's an excellent tale of a fantasy world gripped in something very similar to World War II.

Gig: Paradise Lost
I love going to shoes like this. Everyone is around my age or up, and it puts a lie to the myth that you need to be young to have fun.
And sure, there are youngsters there too, but so what?

Never heard of these guys before, and I only caught the last song, bit it was good enough I hurried down to the merch table to get a t-shirt so I'll remember to listen to them tomorrow.

Well, what more fitting a book than the strange and wonderful novella The Final Voyage of Avery Mothemere, by @whistberry.bsky.social
I reviewed the book here: www.readindiefantasy.com/book-recomme...
It may not have been a book for me, but I'm still happy to recommend it.

I realised I forgot about audio books, and about my favourite comfort read these last few years - The Wandering Inn, by @thewanderinginn.bsky.social
The second book, Fae and Fare, comes in at 1,915 pages, or a bit over 61 hours of listening time.
I've not counted the volumes still only on the web.

The chonkiest indie book I've read (probably ever) is City of Reckoning by Brianna Da Silva (997 pages).
It's well worth the time, and I reviewed it here: www.readindiefantasy.com/book-review-...
(note: I'm not eligible for the giveaway as I help organising it)

It occurred to me that I should start telling people, repeatedly, that I have a new book coming out.
It's called At the Road's End, and it's about how even a villain might have loved ones they wish would accept them.
Here's a picture Toini, the main character.
