First they illegally deport citizens. Then they unleash ICE to terrorize communities. Now they’ve got the National Guard in L.A. to silence protestors.

This ain’t about law and order.

This is what authoritarianism looks like.

Watching the OceanGate documentary. My gods, the arrogance. I think we paused it a dozen times within the first 20 minutes and just looked at each other in "Whaaaaattheactualfffffff????"

Also, so freaking glad Josh Gates didn't ignore his Spidey Sense and went down in the fateful trip.

I'm okay with being known as Generation Goonie - because Goonies never say die! ☠️☠️☠️⚓️🏴‍☠️🏴‍☠️
Why Some Gen X and millennials might be "Generation Goonies" instead
If you remember the days of playing outside all day, before helicopter parents and social media were a thing, it turns out you might be Generation Goonie.

With the amount of information and posts out there on the tariffs, the number of times I've seen it misspelled is setting my teeth on edge.

T-A-R-I-F-F

Not 'tarrif.' Not 'tarriff.' TARIFF.

Thank you for coming to my spelling TedTalk.

I've tasked myself as "Keeper of Knowledge": buying history books (physical, not ebook) that I feel could be important for the future. I saw another post here that mentioned science books and that's not something I thought of! Now to determine which specialties I should start with.

It's a weird feeling to be "hiding out" upstairs when you have 4-5 contractors downstairs caulking and painting your walls. I feel like an intruder in my own home when I go down just to grab a drink!

(Also, they have a serious lack of fear. Some of those ladder angles make me extremely nervous!)

We're having the inside of the house painted next week, so we're moving things out of the way. Including moving all the books off the bookshelves in the living room.

Whooo! Kind of feel sorry for the movers when they eventually have to move my manymanymanymany boxes of books :)

Chris and I have been watching some '80s fantasy movies the past week - Willow, Beastmaster, Time Bandits, that sort of stuff.

I'mma just say that Artax is still just as devastating at 47 as it was at 8 ☹️ #thisiswhygenxneedstherapy
