MapQuest is NOT renaming the Gulf of Mexico. Our maps are like grandma's Thanksgiving recipes — once they're printed, they're not changing. The Gulf of Mexico stays put on MapQuest.

The RFK Jr. confirmation hearing has been scheduled for 1/29/25. The nomination is on shaky ground.

Here's the call to action: Reach Out To Your Senators and Urge Them To Oppose RFK Jr's nomination to be HHS Secretary

Here's how to do that, step-by-step:

Don’t underestimate the impact you’re making when you choose to wear a mask.

You’re protecting your health & the health of your community. You’re helping ease the burden on our healthcare system.

You’re standing in solidarity with disabled people & telling the government that no one is expendable

If you’re still masking - thank you.

If you’re still trying to convince others to mask - thank you.

If you understand the benefit of a well fitted respirator - you’re awesome.

Masking isn’t just a way to safeguard one’s health. It’s an act of solidarity with disabled & marginalized communities.

I’ve been trying to make this point for two years but every surge like this cumulatively erodes the healthcare system. Every time, more healthcare workers hit the limit where they’ve just had *enough*
Sigh: “After COVID hospitalizations climbed nearly 22% this week, the CDC is predicting further increases over the coming month as new variants spread. This replaces previous projections from the agency that admissions would "remain stable or have an uncertain trend."
Is masking coming back? As new COVID variants emerge, here's what experts say.
While the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention have not announced new mask mandates, some experts say you may want to consider it, depending on your situation.

Brilliant novelist Madeline Miller writing about her experience with long covid—and the increasingly stigmatized fight to avoid reinfection. Real heart-smasher.
