The way I see it is we should be able to edit a post until two minutes after posting it, and then also up to 48 hours after posting it while also showing a badge that it was edited and the edit history

It's more about that if you already have a personal site you link to from i.e. "Xitter", YouTube, etc. you can have that domain as your username, so then it's easier to see that that's actually you, not necessarily through having a custom domain alone.

I don't understand the "lack of customization", mac os has a ton of customization options. you can have tiling windows, an on-demand swiss army knife of useful tools for devs, extra widgets in the top bar, etc. by default you can also place the dock on the side which puts it ahead of win11 lol

amazing hardware + I think the OS beats both Windows and Linux together (imagine average desktop Linux but much more user friendly)
the highlights for me are the screen, touchpad, no fans and good battery life

my prediction is that the quality of the mainstream websites is going to go down rapidly due to the amount of AI-generated slop, invasive advertising, and general enshittification, that indie web will go through a rennaissance and many smaller services will break through, as is the case with Bluesky
