My favorite thing about myself is that I have always been myself.

I’d rather keep you waiting for 48 hours for my response than reply to your right away with an impulse one.

All these years I thought dance was my creative outlet, but it was so much more. It was the only way I could fully express my deepest, most authentic self. It let me embody the expansiveness of who I am without judgment and be free. I choose to live that way every day.

I think I was born with a fiercely free spirit and then the world happened.

I think I've been wanting to break free from since birth. It wasn't just work. Work was just another cage I put myself in. Perhaps unconsciously repeating mistakes of the past.

Dissatisfaction arises when thinking about some other state or some other version of (future) reality that does not currently exist in the present moment of NOW.

When we don't do this, we begin to feel (mind and body) the slow, gooey, icky creep of comparison start to sneak its sinister way in.

Growth is:

Resisting the urge to get involved in family drama that you know won’t serve you because any action would be your unconscious, wounded child self taking the reigns instead of your conscious, healthy, higher self being intentional.

They say that the best way to help others while not burning out is to set clear boundaries. I agree but I think what’s missing is this—an understanding that you can feel compassion for someone in pain, while still feeling joy for your own progress. But this only comes when you full love yourself.

When the body wants to rest, let it rest.

One way to make life easier for Future You is to make Present You be fully present and attentive in the current moment.

Curiosity is an essential life skill. It bridges gaps in understanding. When we take the time to explore whether our interpretation of someone's actions matches their true intentions, we open doors to deeper connections.
