Predictive text is always garbage - sometimes funny garbage, but still garbage.

I had to listen to my partner stuck in one of those automated customer service phone call loops where no matter what button he pushed, it always opened a new option menu and there was no way to get an operator...

There's probably some use in coding for people that can't write computer code.

But it seems to just function as a resource heavy search engine instead. Or an autofill for templates that already exist somewhere else. And every "creative" use steals from someone else with no credit.

We already have templates for things like cover letters. I also have not heard of a good use for AI, that we don't already have an alternative for... Which makes sense considering we can only get out of it what has been stolen and put into it.
