Simplified Chinese of Shadow, the third book from eight Warrior Cats series, A Starless Clan. It shows Nightheart, a black cat with amber eyes, hanging by his front paws from a pine tree. The camera is positioned above him. His hind paws have toes spread very widely. Under him, on the ground, there's a bird nest with broken eggs, that's only barely visible under the publisher's logo.

A scene from A Starless Clan: River. Nightheart is on his assessment and spots a bird that is being eyed by a hawk. He thinks with his eyes closed how that will make Bramblestar feel bad for missing his assessment. Nightheart races the hawk to the bird and manages to catch it. With feathers still in his muzzle he sees Lilyheart and Squirrelflight approach to comment on his catch. Nightheart's third trial from A Starless Clan: Shadow. Sunbeam watches Nightheart climb a tree to recover eggs from a nest. She thinks to herself that soon they will be mates together. Nightheart's face is sad and contemplative. Nightheart makes a move forward, and the branch creaks under his paw, which makes ShadowClan cats worried. Sunbeam looks terrified and Berryheart makes a happy smirk. Part two of Nightheart's trial from A Starless Clan: Shadow. Nightheart tries to make a move for eggs, but the branch breaks, unable to sustain his weight. Sunbeam has tears in her eyes and yells a dramatic "No!" In the next panel, Nightheart manages to catch a branch but the eggs are revealed to be broken, meaning he failed his test. She is unhappy with Berryheart's conspiracy with RiverClan, but Berryheart justifies her actions.
