Long my favorite musical satirist, his work still delights me. Academia was his primary career, but his influence on musical satire can’t be overestimated. Anyone who gets banned in Australia in the 1960s is my kind of guy.

If you’re a SF/SciFi fan and you’re not watching Murderbot, you need to. Full disclosure: I tried reading the books and had trouble getting into them. The television adaptation doesn’t have the same problem for me, and the story pulled me in in episode one. Skarsgård’s is darkly funny as Murderbot.

I’m really annoyed to report that #section31 is an unsatisfying mess. Worse than Star Trek: The Motion Picture if that’s even possible. I love Michelle Yeoh and her character from DISCO, but they still managed to lose me.
