Wasn't the novel the Spire by William Golding loosely based on Salisbury and its dodgy foundations. I remember doing it for A level.

So, Starmer's toast, then?

How do they know if people are using a VPN to avoid the OSA? The point of the VPN is that they can't know (without an awful lot of work) what the VPN is connecting to. Like streaming TV from India. More ignorant bullshit opinion.

Just teach the same thing seven times and see if anyone notices.

True. And lest we forget:

"In a trial held in Oslo in the latter part of 1945, Quisling faced multiple charges, including treason, murder, and illegal activities against Norway. He was found guilty on most counts & was sentenced to death by firing squad, which was carried out on October 24, 1945."

The history of women in WW1 is still sadly rather unknown. There are some fascinating memoirs written by the women themselves. Many are available free on @gutenberg.org Project Gutenberg. I particularly recommend "Fanny goes to War" by Pat Beauchamp of the F.A.N.Y. www.gutenberg.org/ebooks/16521

One particularly sad one was Emily Ada Pickford (née Pearn). She was 37 years old, from Penarth. A member of one of Lena Ashwell's Concert Parties, she died in Feb 1919 (after the Armistice) when the car in which she was a passenger skidded into the frozen River Somme on the way back from a concert

I had the privilege of working on the Women's Archive Wales project to create a database of women involved in WW1. We found the names of nearly 50 women recorded on war memorials in Cymru. Thousands more served in many roles and many countries

You can read their stories at womenandwar.wales

Certainty is important. Which includes certainty that your business is probably f*cked within the next few years if Starmer doesn't drop all his Tory policies*.

* unless your industry supports Labour with cash, like gambling

Right Reverend Host: "I'm afraid you've got a bad National Broadcaster, Mr Jones!"; The Curate: "Oh no, my Lord, I assure you! Parts of it are excellent!"

Radio 3, drama. But news & current affairs stink to high heaven.

You have nothing to apologise for Mo, you did far more than anyone could expect under the terrible conditions you were in. Now we have to hope that the future will offer peace for you all, and that you can concentrate on rebuilding from the devastation, and again providing a home for the cats.

Why are they allowing any Russians to visit Europe? Russia is taking hostile military action against EU members. All Russian citizens in the EU should be expelled unless they request, and are given ,asylum.

Problem is, without PR it's not really up to Zack. Coming second doesn't get a seat in HoC. Now, if he can get GP support to 35%...

The interesting/worrying thing in May will be the general elections in Wales and Scotland. I'm fairly sure Refuk will have imploded and reformed as the National Socialist English Workers Party by 2029, but possibly not before May. We don't want any fascists in the Senedd - and we have PR!
