Yeah, that report sounded a lot like the physical that he released in his first term that was all about how healthy he is: too good to be true. Also, would an MRI be the first choice of imaging the cardiac vasculature? Why not get a calcium score?

We can't regain public trust until we have leaders who are trustworthy. When we do, we'll still have to do extra work to undo the damage and there's probably some permanent damage done.

Beyond the main effect of the covid vax, which greatly decreases the likelihood of cancer patients dying of covid during their treatment. (Look at deaths during treatment in trials before and after the vaccine. The covid deaths just go away after the vaccine. Even with immunosuppressive chemo.)

It's not the FDA claiming this. It's Vinay Prasad hijacking the FDA to use as his personal disinformation platform claiming it.

Was it even possible to genetically engineer HIV in the 1970s-1980s when it appeared? We didn't even have PCR back then.

I can't help but feel that this decision was intended to harm the current head of CDER, whose wife died of possibly asbestos in talc related ovarian cancer. He's one of the last competent management people left at FDA and RFK et al want him gone.

They don't want babies. They just want control. Consider the "pro-life" answer to the question of whether to abort a fetus that is dead or dying in order to save its twin.

It just happens and we don't know why. So jogging and eating right don't help. Vaccination might. There is a minor association between being up to date on vaccines and lower acute leukemia risk. There are/were a lot of new treatment ideas in the pipeline. Those programs are mostly shut down now. 2/2

As far as I know, AML can strike anyone at any time. It's not a "blame" disease where you can say that the person should have known better than to smoke/eat sugar/ride without their helmet/work in construction/et. There are a few risk factors, but most people who get AML have none of them. 1/2

How long until no one's actually left at the FDA and it's just a few Trump appointees deciding based on how much the sponsor paid them? I feel about one punitive management decision from leaving myself and am surely not the only one feeling that.

The last numbers I saw suggested that the trend was increasing, i.e. more people leaving over time. But that could be partly the RIFs taking effect. Any data on whether the fourth quarter of 2025 is likely to see more departures than the third?

And since we don't know that RFK wasn't bitten by a virus, we should isolate him. Just in case. And people that he comes in contact with regularly, such as Trump, Makary, O'Neill, et al. And warn people of the dangers of RFK, etc on the CDC website.

Under Biden, clinical trials began using language that did not exclude trans people and force culturally inappropriate care (e.g. pregnancy testing for people who can become pregnant, not women who can become pregnant.) Not earth shattering, but indicative of the trend.

We don't know why AML happens. It can strike anyone, anytime. There are a lot of new therapies for AML under investigation. This is a terrible time to stop work on them. So many lives will be wasted because of Trump, Musk, and RFK.
