- This isn't great.
- I am very worried about State Education Dept's ability to step up in the short term.
- This is a kerfuffle (real word) between the Feds and the States.
- Our children didn't cause the kerfuffle.

- At least 500 - 600 of these children are losing their NDIS eligibility each week.
- They will be starting school without the supports they had in 2024.
- The new system of 'Foundational Supports', which is supposed to support them, is not ready to go.
- Actually, it hasn't been designed yet.

Families are already feeling the impact of these changes, and we need to act fast to prevent further unintended consequences. We'll never realise the goals of the strategy if we fail to get the basics right.

One critical issue? NDIS reforms are starting—with hundreds of children losing access to the scheme each week—BEFORE foundational supports are in place. To me, this should have been the headline.
