We badly need new electricity generation capacity, and lots of it, to meet reliability, resiliency, and decarbonization goals. At a time when we need more energy, not less, we should not arbitrarily single out promising options and take them off the table.

The U.S. needs more long-distance transmission to ensure grid reliability, affordability, and clean energy growth.

But permitting challenges are slowing progress.
