Last weekend I attended a launch event for Aaron Reynolds' newest book, TROUBLING TONSILS. It prompted me to dig up a page from my daughter's baby book from when I knew Aaron in another life!

Going to try to start posting here every day as a little experiment. Feeling a little lost in the social media world right now (as many people are).

Here's a video of my dog frantically trying to get dry after his bath. (Note the growling - he NEEDS every last drop of that water GONE!)

Can you believe my coworkers threw a midnight release party just for me? 🎉 What’s that you say? Those decorations look like they’re for a ✨different✨ just-released title? You must be mistaken. 😂

My friends celebrated me at the midnight party anyway. They're the best!

My MG fantasy novel-in-verse THE SONG OF ORPHAN'S GARDEN is releasing on 1/21/25. It's a reimagining of Oscar Wilde's "The Selfish Giant." It highlights the original story's themes of selfishness, sacrifice, and found family and reminds us we're not meant to walk through this world alone.

A modified #NaNoWriMo2023 with my current WIP: Evie can't lose. Not a board game, a competition or a round of rock paper scissors. Meanwhile, her gran seems to be losing more of *herself* each day. It can't be coincidence. So Evie must break her curse—before she wins her way to losing Gran for good.

Got my dogs to sit for a photoshoot with 10 DOGS by Emily Gravett! This adorable picture book teaches early math concepts and captures an equation I've learned all too well: dogs + food = chaos!

Love the cute story woven in and the illustrations of dogs of all shapes and sizes!
