I’ve been a Kinks fan all my life - not just because I’m a Muswell Hillbilly like them. I think they are the poets of London & some of their songs are among the most beautiful ever written.

(As an addendum I would add I am against the siege and welcome the fact that aid trucks are going back in even though they are feeding the Hamas machine.)

It appears this figure was plucked from a report which said there would be 14,000 cases of several malnutrition in young children within the next year if the way the food is distributed in Gaza is not improved.
Very different.

It was reported all over the online media all over the world, politicians made videos about it, it was repeated in the House of Commons. It’s in this morning’s newspapers. Because he said it and he’s from the UN.

The lie started with the UN’s emergency coordinator Tom Fletcher who told journalists that 14,000 babies would die in the next 48 hours unless Israel allowed sufficient aid into Gaza.

A few days ago the United Nations announced it was suspending all humanitarian operations to Houthi controlled northern Yemen after the Houthis took 8 of their staff hostage.
Can you imagine how different the Israeli hostage situation would be if the world had demanded their return on day one?

She was banned from coming near the radio station because - unbelievably- her views that Hamas are a terrorist group which should not have murdered and raped Israeli civilians and taken 250 people hostage - were deemed offensive to people’s religious and cultural views.
