Found this for my twin girls! Loved Enid Blyton growing up but feel language dated to read to the girls - I had no idea Jacqueline Wilson had rewritten these! Would love other recs if anyone knows of great kids books..we’re working our way through The Worst Witch, which is so nostalgic

There's not much more exciting than seeing a story I've written illustrated with details from what I wrote! It's proofs for now but I can't wait to share it with the world!

Need to remember this, when I look back at this year and my writing achievements, or achievements in general.

Researching my latest novel, partly set in 1970 Iraq. It's not somewhere I can visit&my family who lived there all have conflicting stories!Does that mean I can do what I want?!I wish my dad, who has dementia, could describe his childhood &I'd asked him more when I could #amwriting #historicalfiction

Any #dreamauthors out there? Just tried @sophiehannah.bsky.social gnocchi draft for the first time (it's my 4th novel and have gone from not planning at all to full planning) &it's so weird but really feel like I've written the novel when it's really just notes. Anyone else had the same experience?

My five year old twins are wonderfully bilingual but, poor girls, learning to write two different alphabets is confusing, especially when one starts on the right side of the page, the other on the left! Luckily, they don't seem to mind... #bilingual #twins #edusky

Kids are gone to their grandparents and I'm marking Year 8 gothic fairytales which are surprisingly good (though they wrote me 1000 words each so in total I'm reading 30,000 words!) Any suggestions for under 18 comps for creative writing? I'm so impressed by them!#amwriting #amreading #gothicfiction

Sharing my recently published short story in The New Orleans Review, leaning into magical realism and the strangeness and intensity of new motherhood! Had such a fun/ strange time writing this one! #amwriting #magicalrealism

I already feel like I'm having more fun browsing social media, enjoying introductions from everyone. I'm Nicole, writer and Eng teacher, mum to extremely cute identical twin girls. I'm exploring writing supernatural/magical realism at the moment;interested to connect with anyone doing the same!

I've finally finished my novel (for now) and am so excited to be moving to the next steps! I'm nervous and excited (read: anxious) for all of it, but I love the novel &feel confident there's nothing more I could have done to it. Taking deep breaths! #amwriting #amreading #tarot #bookclub #thrillers
