52”x65”
One of two memory quilts made from shirts. After doing 7 MQs for other people, these were made from my own dad’s shirts. This was for my brother. Lots of blue and even more plaid. He had a definite style.☺️

Was too busy yesterday to post, but I’ll post the reason I was extra busy. Son & GF are coming today to help decorate and when I heard they didn’t have a tree skirt I made it my mission to send them home with one today. Carpenter Star block, not particularly ‘artful’.😁

Wall quilt 22”x24”
Foundation paper piecing. Made for my dad’s wife soon after he had passed this Spring. I combined elements of two patterns and made the cat to look like her beloved cat, ItsyBitsy whom has since passed as well. ❤️

Quilt 50x66
Saw a picture of a quilt made in this pattern and had to figure out how make it, just for me.
I love challenges and modifying designs to suit my needs.
This one‘s my personal favourite that I use often this time of year.

Quilt, 47”x62”
After doing several masculine projects I was happy to dive into a very feminine one. It was a gift for a very dear forever friend who was navigating some big challenges. I chose every fabric with her in mind which is awesome because her aesthetic is beautiful. 🥰

Forgot this fun fact:
The area inside the green outline is 3” square and is made of 13 pieces.😄

25”x50” Quilt
Commission for my World buddy, an architect & Frank Lloyd Wright fan. Replicated a light cover in Allen House from pics of an original & current wooden copy.
Simple colours, bit of artistic license. My most technically challenging quilt. 650 pieces & LOTS of seams.

I skipped a couple years putting up our flag for Canada Day. Reclaiming it and celebrating what it means was necessary, now more than ever. 🇨🇦 🍁❤️

G7 meetings are noisy. 😂
Huge increase in air traffic leading up to this and it’s much more frequent today. From regular helicopters to military, we’re being treated to them all. And we’re about an hour and a half’s drive away. I miss the quiet of the May long weekend! 🥴

If you need a break from doomscrolling, here’s a picture of a fox in our front yard. We get lots of critters, as some of you know but this is the first fox sighting. We’ve lived here for 28 years. Had a few seconds to snap a pic of it politely exiting via the walkway. 😂🥰

Reposting to boost this.

My friend’s granddaughter lost her precious panda bear stuffy at the Calgary Zoo yesterday. Please share widely so we can get Lola back home. Deborah is not on Bluesky so if you have any info, you can DM me and I’ll pass it along to her. 🐼❤️

This was a post I made about my dad a few years ago over at the ‘other’ place. I reposted it today in honour of him, as he passed away last night. It was such a positive and well liked story. BS won’t let me post both video and picture so the story screen grab is in the comments.

Lunch break, I guess. Cool picture from the alley. It’s our version of a Palm tree. Not gonna lie, I’m feeling a wee bit ‘tropical’ right now. 😂

Very tall tree cross the street is coming down today, it appears. Arborist guy has paused, waiting for the crazy wind to die down, I think. 😬
